KATANA™ Zirconia STML & HTML PLUS by Kuraray Noritake

Two KATANA multi-layered zirconias, one disc format (98.5 mm in 14, 18 and 22 mm). Choose STML when esthetics lead – crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays and bridges up to 3 units. Choose HTML PLUS when strength leads – long-span bridges and frameworks, plus crowns and veneers.

KATANA Zirconia STML

  • Natural multi-layered color gradient – four layers mimic natural tooth anatomy from incisal to cervical, with no visible transition lines.
  • Rapid sintering – speed-sinters in as little as 20 minutes in compatible chairside furnaces (cycle time depends on your furnace).
  • Finishing flexibility – ideal for monolithic ultra-micro-layering with CERABIEN™ ZR FC Paste Stain or vestibular cutback micro-layering.

KATANA Zirconia HTML PLUS

  • Strength for long spans – 1,150 MPa across all layers for long-span bridges and frameworks.
  • Enhanced translucency & vivid color – a new in-house raw material gives a brighter, deeper, more lifelike shade than the original HTML.
  • Fast sintering – 54-minute, 90-minute or standard cycles, on the same schedules as STML.
  • Finishing flexibility – monolithic ultra-micro-layering, vestibular cut-back, or full porcelain layering.
