Close Holes Feature in Medit i500

A frequent issue with digital models is when they are rendered with holes in areas you did not scan with your intra-oral scanner. An experienced user finds this insignificant but for a new user this can be troublesome. Also, if you or your lab plan on printing the models, they need to be “water tight”.

This usually meant taking the models to another software and closing the holes. With the new Medit V 2.0 software you can close these holes during the process step.

You have 3 choices:

First is to do nothing (advanced users will opt for this when the holes are in non-critical areas), or you can Fill Major Holes, where the inned boundaries will be extended to naturally fill major holes, and then you can Fill All Holes and Create a Watertight Model.
